Street Racer Underground is a racing game in which players can compete to earn increasingly powerful cars. The races take place on the motorway, and players can earn nitro boosts by closely overtaking other cars. Players can drive in endless mode and try to make the successive checkpoints to earn more cash, or pay to compete in motorway races and defeat your opponents to win the prize money.
In the garage, players can unlock various upgrades for their car, or buy a new car altogether. The upgrade capacities of the first couple of cars are limited, but the more expensive models can handle greater improvements. By stacking up the nitro boosts the players earns, the car will gain extra speed.
